The first time I ever heard the name, "Major Ian Thomas," was when I read his foreward in the book entitled, "Classic Christianity," by Bob George. Since that time, I have soaked up every bit of teaching on the exchanged life as I could get from Major Thomas...including buying all of his videos. When I heard of his passing, I turned to my husband and said, "...a great man has passed through this world, and left it, and not one media channel -- including the Christian channels -- has acknowledged it. Then I remembered the "greeting and acknowledgment" Jesus Christ received..."He came to His own, and His own did not received Him...." and I REJOICED! For GREAT is Major Ian's reward!!!
This sin-sick world was not worthy of him -- and the next time IT sees him, he will be riding right behind his Lord with the other saints...on his white horse! What really matters is that those who knew him were blessed -- and those of us who saw him, really saw the Lord Jes us Christ -- a glimpse of His glory, through a vessel who was willing to be used. From what I've read and heard Maj. Thomas say, I believe that his humble heart would have said, "I was just any ol' bush...." I feel so grateful to Jesus for leading me to that book twenty one years ago.
Thank you for this site, enabling those of us who are in Christ, to pay tribute to a wonderful vessel of a man.
God bless his family till they see him again.
