I am deeply grateful to Major Thomas who made the Christian life come alive for me by sharing the principal of the indwelling Life of Christ. I had come to Christ when I was a teen but found the Christian life to be full of failure and lack of any real life transforming power. It was not for lack of enthusiam or human effort I was a flurry of Christian activity. My life was marked by an endless series of dedication and re-dedications.

 

I had a friend send me a copy of the Saving life of Christ book by Major and I read only the first few pages. God used what I read over he next few weeks to unlock the Mystery that was hid for generations, which is CHRIST IN YOU THE HOPE OF GLORY. After this discovery I met the Major in Iowa and together organized with two friends a annual one week Torchbearer Mini Bible School that we have been holding in La Crosse, Wisconsin for the past 25 years. Allow Christ to manifest his indwelling life in me has transformed my life in to a life of impact and power. I now lead a College bible study at my home for over 100 college age students. I have a weekly mens study with 40-50 men each week. As a lay businesses owner I would never have dreamed that God could do so much thru me every week.

 

The difference was not education or dedication but simply daily allowing Christ to live his life in and thru me.  I asked Major how someone becomes a Torchbearer and he told me you simply wake up and realize that you always were. I love that Man and am grateful to God for using Him so powerfully. I am thankful to Joan and the Thomas men who sacrificed much for the sake of Majors ministry. I am Thrilled that they have continued to dedicate their lives to Christ and making him known.
