I remember the first time I met Major Thomas was on the campus at Prairie Bible Institute in the mid 80's. He was one of the visiting speakers and was walking to the breakfast hall that particular morning. He immediately addressed my teenage son who was with me and I don't recall the conversation but Major Thomas showed an interest in my son and passed along a leaflet for one of the Torchbearer schools. His message, although dynamic and intriquing, remained a mystery to me for several years till with the continuous ministering of The Holy Spirit I finally understood the message that the Lord Jesus was the fulfillment of His law as we simply abide in Him. The Christian Life became fresh and real and a wonder that it could elude me as long as it did! Of course as we celebrate Major Thomas's life we celebrate The One He loved and preached in such a fresh and captivating way.

This same Lord Jesus and His message lives on and I am grateful that same son as well as our two other children grasped the truth early in their lives and to this day go on to live the truth and share by their message and life the Truth (Jesus) wih others. The son who met Major Thomas on the PBI campus never did go on to achieve his OWN ambitions. He stayed at the Torchbearer school he went to the first year out of high school and never left there. He's now the principal at that school and along with his brother and sister who also learned Christ (The Truth) early, is a tremendous encouragement to/for me. Major Thomas's last words of encouragement to me a few years ago were to "abide in Christ" and realize His "truths" are simply the fulfillment of His "LIFE".

I am grateful to Him for his ministry to me and the other members of my family.
