Having worked at "The Hall", I saw the Major on one of those rare occasions when he was at home. Just after one of our staff breaks, he took me into his study and there gave me a brief understanding of the Saving life of Christ.

 

No matter where one has heard the major, one knew "here was a man of God", Yes, I can well imagine the Greeting for the Major, and no doubt.St Peter couldnt open those gates quick enough for him to see his Lord.
