Thank you so much for letting me know of the passing of Major Thomas. I met him nearly forty years ago when he came to stay in my parent's home during his speaking engagement at Briarwood Presbyterian Church in Birmingham, Al. Because of his influence, along with that of Dr. Redpath, I went to school at Capernwray & Holsby Brunn in 1974-75. What enriching experiences that year encompassed! It was my pleasure to get to know Mrs. Thomas as I worked alongside her in the kitchen at Capernwray Hall.

She & Andy & Spike the dog always made me feel welcome :-). I have fond memories of Chris, his excellent teaching, and his kind tolerance of the youthful craziness of us students! I remember being in the delightful presence of Mark & Peter occasionally, as they worked, played the guitar & sang, tho' I didn't spend much time with them. What a wonderful family. I rejoice with all the saints that Major is in the nearer presence of the Lord. My thoughts & prayers are with all the family as you grieve the profound loss of his physical presence. May we all be aware of the loving presence & action of the Holy One within & around us daily.

I am grateful for the blessing of being in the sphere of influence of such a man of God.

With much love & appreciation,
