We just discovered this site today, and were both sad and glad to hear the Major is now glorified. I had just written on my alumni page prior to reading about the details of the Major's passing.
I'd like to restate that I will forever praise the Lord for the obedience and trust that the Major placed in our Savior, because my life would be much different now had he not stepped out in faith and bought the Capernwray.
The Lord specifically called me to study at Ravencrest Chalet. It changed my relationship with Christ, my perspective on life, properly discipled me, and prepared me to go out to testify and disciple others.
I was blessed to have heard the Major speak in person while at school. Supernaturally efficient, he spoke faster than any other person I've ever heard! He seemed continually aware of the fact that none of us knows how long the Lord will have us here. The Major was determined and, praise the Lord, willing to tell as many people as much as possible about Jesus, while he still had a tongue to testify. Thank you Jesus! And the Major had that winning smile.
What a joy, what an incredible spiritual legacy we all now share. Look what God can do with just one man, if only we are willing!
Praying comfort and peace for the Thomas family, I'm fondly yours,
Kari Lundberg Carpenter,
